OLCV Education Fund Presents: Campaigning to Win 2008!

Location: Canby Grove Conference Center in Canby Oregon

Costs: $50 (scholarships available) includes all materials, meals, and lodging.

Who should attend? Environmentally concerned citizens whowant to take leadership roles in election, advocacy, or educational campaigns.

What happens at the training? Workshops and hands-on simulations covering campaign strategy, messaging, voter targeting, advanced fundraising and more.

In the words of OLCV Education Fund Executive Director Jonathan Poisner, "Joel Bradshaw is the best trainer I've everseen - and I've seen plenty. If you want to understand why some campaigns win and othersdon't, go to this training."

Please join me for an informal Town Hall on health care. I know most Oregonians are concerned about escalating health care costs. And I know businesses, especially small businesses, are scrambling to keep their employees covered.

The idea of this forum is to let consumers know what "is out there" in the way of reducing costs on things like prescription drugs.

I also wanted to review The Healthy Oregon Act passed in the 2007 regular legislative session. I'd like to know others' thoughts on that law, but I think it holds promise for help down the road.

Washington County's (and surrounding areas) gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) Democrats have organized the Tualatin Valley Stonewall Democratic Caucus (TVSDC).

Contacts will be made by the new organization with the county's GLBT Democrats in order to GOTV and find volunteers and raise money for the coming political campaigns. Washco Dems PCPs who might know GLBT people or their friends or family in Washington and surrounding counties are urged to put them in touch with Carmen Dunnington, TVSDC Chair (carmen_precinct350 at comcast.net), or Lee Coleman, TVSDC Secretary (LincolnDem at aol.com).

You don't have to be GLBT to join (and you don't have to join to attend).
