Peace Memorial Park Foundation and Vets for Peace chapter 72 are continuing its commitment to peace in it's 3rd annual planting of the Peace Memorial Park May 17th from 9am-2pm at the Corner of NE Lloyd Blvd and Oregon St.

Volunteers are needed to plant 200 flats of yellow Marigolds and red Begonias to create a colorful and dynamic 75ft peace symbol East side of the Steel Bridge esplanade.

Join involved citizens in a work party and watch the peace community bloom.
Children and adults are invited in the community involved project. Bring your lunch and hand shovel and spend the day making a difference in your contribution of this lasting memorial.

The Peace Memorial Park is dedicated to the memory of all people everywhere who have ever perished in warfare, in the hope that like-minded people will join with its sponsors and creators in the effort to put an end to war so that humankind can live in peace.

The mission of the Peace Memorial Park Foundation of Portland Oregon is to maintain the park in perpetuity, present a lasting memorial to all victims of violent conflict, provide a place of reflection and inspire all who visit to act on one's commitment to peace as an alternative to violence.
