Washington County Democrats to Host Nominating Convention Washington County Democrats will host the Nominating Convention to replace former Rep. Suzanne Bonamici on Tuesday, June 3, beginning at 7 p.m. Delegate registration begins at 6:30 p.m. The convention will be held in Building 9, Event Center Room 122a at Portland Community College, Rock Creek campus, at 17705 NW Springville Road, off 185th and north of Highway 26.
Bonamici recently was sworn in as a state senator , having resigned from the House seat to accept the appointment.
Democratic Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) from House District 34 are eligible to vote to recommend nominees to replace Bonamici in the House. The final selection comes from the Washington County Board of Commissioners. Whoever is selected will face an election in November. All Democratic PCP’s from House District 34 should attend the convention. ###
