Start your Fourth of July in a really big way! Get your patriotic, Washington County Democratic Party groove on - and join the WashCo Dems for our annual patriotic march through downtown Hillsboro, in the Hillsboro Rotary Club's Annual 4th of July Parade. This year's parade theme is 'Flying Colors' so help do just that! We'll be tossing candy, carrying signs, passing out flyers, greeting local Dems, and cheering for our Democratic candidates up and down the ticket.
This Parade has been held every year since 1926, and is now the second largest parade in Oregon. It's one of the highlights of our year - and it is a ton of fun! So come and walk with us this Friday. Since we are #35 (of 142 units) you'll be able to get home in time for lunch and more holiday festivities!! Details: Meet us at Peter Boscow Elementary School (452 NE 3rd Avenue Hillsboro) between 9:00 and 9:30AM. Candy and signs will be provided. Complete parade information can be found at: http://www.hillchamber.org/images/broadcast/parade_info.pdf. Please note that parking is limited, and streets do close early - so you should consider taking MAX or carpooling with friends. For more information or to sign up, please contact Jennifer Warren: officechair@washcodems.org Happy Fourth! See you in Hillsboro!
